Aztec has been previously specified to offer technical, audio-visual and creative assistance to businesses and organisations hosting events at the Business Design Centre (BDC) in the heart of Islington, North London. As one of the most popular conference and exhibition venues in the capital, the BDC hosts more than 300 events each year in the former Royal Agricultural Hall.

The BDC’s spectacular building dates back to 1862 when it was the Royal Agricultural Hall. Its design was heavily inspired by the Crystal Palace for the Great Exhibition of 1851 and was positioned here to take advantage of its proximity to Smithfield’s livestock market. Today, the BDC’s spectacular Mezzanine and ground floor space offers over 2,500 square metres of flexible event space, ideal for banquets, exhibitions and conferences. Its magnificent glass roof offers an abundance of natural light. The 890 square metre Gallery Hall is another multi-purpose space suitable for large conferences, while the 500-capacity Auditorium is better suited for more intimate conferences and seminars and can also be utilised for theatre and classroom-style events.

We have developed a strong working relationship with staff on-site over the years. Our expertise in supporting events both in the Mezzanine, Gallery Hall and Auditorium areas enables us to point you in the right direction when it comes to stage and table layouts, or sound, lighting and projection.
